A puddle sucker (also known as a puddle pump or residue pump) is a type of submersible pump specifically designed to remove shallow, low-level water from flat surfaces, often down to as little as 1mm. Unlike a standard submersible pump, it does not need to be fully submerged to operate effectively, as its design ensures the motor is cooled by the pumped water, preventing overheating.
